Bat Walk - Wednesday 28th August at 7.45 pm

Bat Walk - Wednesday 28th August from Roundwood Halt, Harpenden at 7.45 pm. Free to all.

Our bat walk this year will be on the evening of Wednesday 28th August and it will be led by Karen Poore, Harpenden Town Council's People and Wildlife Officer. As for last year she will bring along a few 'normal' bat detectors that can detect bats at specific frequencies, plus the council's more sophisticated bat detector that can detect bats over a wide frequency range.

The walk will be along the Nickey Line from Roundwood Halt and back and will last for about 75 mins. Currently we are planning that the walk will start at 7.45 pm, but we will confirm this nearer the date. You will need to wear appropriate footwear and bring a torch.

No need to book, but please let Geoff know if you plan to attend (

Why not come along to one of our working parties and help with the management of the Nickey Line?

If you are interested, contact us with your details and we shall email you with future work parties
