What's On

Volunteer Work Party in DBC Thursday 21 October at 10am

We will be managing the vegetation alongside the NL between the bridge over Fletcher Way and Godwin’s Halt,

We will meet at the bottom of the steps which access the Nickey Line from alongside St Paul’s Church in Fletchers Way. Parking is limited to wide nearby pavements, where most locals park but the vicar is kindly allowing us to use the Church private car park if one can find spaces. We will work between the meet point and Godwin’s Halt, removing vegetation close to the path, removing self sets where possible, tidying up fallen branches,, cutting ivy where needed to expose more light to the path, while leaving buildings hidden as far as possible. Cuttings will be disposed of appropriately

As in the past we will provide tooling and safety equipment (gauntlets, eye protection, first aid kit), but because of covid restrictions you are asked to provide your own drink and food for the mid-morning break and for lunchtime if you are staying through to the finish time of about 15.00

Please contact Roger on rogerjan76@gmail.com if you intend attending
