A team of Friends of the Nickey Line have re-covered the Redbourn Lane platelayers’ hut floor after removing the artefacts there for safe keeping. We relaid the bricks over the floor and then covered them with soil. The aim was to help preserve the hut for the long term.
We plan to keep two huts open on display, hopefully with information boards when we can raise the funds, for passing users to learn more about the history of the Line.
