Friends of the Nickey Line held our last of the 10 work parties of this winter season yesterday (7th March). We cleared the south view from Owen’s Sidings (about half a mile or so west of the M1 tunnel) and also exposed more of the Platelayers Hut floor there. See the ‘after’ photos. Our thanks go as usual to our team of volunteers who worked on this and our other work parties this season.

We shall hold work parties over the summer on tasks where we shall not disturb nesting birds.
